A restaurant with a difference! We change the style of our weeknight menu every month by selecting a different national cuisine. In the last few months we have offered Vietnamese, Greek, Thai, Eastern European and British food. We are continually developing our `a la carte menu which is available at the weekends. Through this menu we offer our diners a special quality of food fusing standard Australian cuisine with elements of culinary art from a variety of other cultures. We prepare our meals in house from basic natural ingredients rather than using pre-packaged foodstuffs. We aim to create an atmosphere which encourages eating at leisure with family and friends and enjoying food together in good company.

Your hosts at Thunderbolt Farm, Keith and Claudia Beverley, welcome their guests with warm country hospitality. Food is available all day, with a full all day menu lunch. Relax on the covered patio or inside by the fire where the accent is on peace, quiet and relaxation. Open every day, 10am - 5pm except Wednesday.

Visitors can relax in the stylish Café for alfresco dining or just chilling out inside on the comfortable lounges. Devonshire teas and light lunches are available Thursday-Mondays. Stroll around the amazing landscape of the botanical garden setting or have a round on the onsite 9-hole golf course, which is available for visitors & guests alike. Luxurious cottage accommodation complete with spas and fireplaces is available for intimate romantic escapes.

A family owned boutique winery, Jester Hill Wines (Mt Stirling Road, Glen Aplin) is open from 9am to 5pm daily and has a very modern cellar door with plenty of parking for cars, coaches and caravans. The Jokers Café offers great coffee/tea and cake daily and the Jokers Restaurant is open during the high season (Late autumn to early spring) for superb a-la-carte dining. Work by local artists is on display and available for sale. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff makes a visit to Jester Hill both entertaining and educational.

The sort of café you would hope to find in wine country, warm, intimate and welcoming with a small menu serving excellent fare. There are vineyard views, a fire in winter, leather couches to relax and plenty of table seating for hungry guests. If a lazy lunch is on your radar, then settle in, enjoy some light jazz, good wine, great food, espresso coffee and lots of laughter. Hours, 9 - 5 Tuesday through Saturday. 9- 4 on Sunday. Cellar Door Café is closed on Mondays. Lunch is served Tuesday - Sunday between 11.30 and 2.30. Arrangements can be made for groups for dinners and your hosts, Jim and Brandy Salmon are always happy to talk to you about in house catering for weddings and private parties.
